About Us

At Malborough with South Huish C of E (VC) Primary School, we provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment where every child is valued, encouraged to flourish, and supported to reach their full potential. Guided by our vision of growing strong roots to enable children to fly onwards in their life journey, we nurture confident, compassionate learners who are equipped to make a positive contribution to society and live life to its fullest.

Established in 1872, our village school offers four classrooms, a library, music room, playground and an outdoor heated swimming pool, providing all children with swimming lessons during the Summer term.  Freshly prepared hot lunches are available daily.

As a small school community, we celebrate each child's individuality while fostering a love of learning. Alongside strong foundations in English and Maths, we promote creativity, personal development, physical wellbeing, and social and spiritual growth. Through a rich curriculum, outdoor learning and a wide range of extracurricular opportunities, children develop the knowledge, confidence and character needed to thrive.

Weekly Forest School sessions play a central role in our provision, enabling children to connect with nature and develop resilience, independence, confidence and teamwork. As part of the South Hams Federation, we are committed to providing nurturing, child-led experiences that support wellbeing and foster motivation, cooperation, decision-making and lifelong learning skills.

The roots to grow, the wings to fly.  All within the love of God
