Merry Malborough

What a festive last week of term we have had here at 'Merry Malborough' school!

Our week began with our Christmas performances when Classes 1 and 2 performed 'A King is born' in the church on Tuesday morning followed by Classes 3 and 4 and their performance of 'Lights, camels, action' in the evening.  We were delighted to have so many parents, carers and member of the community join us.

Wednesday, 'Christmas Jumper Day', began with a 'Great Christmas Bake-Off', a messy but delicious event, followed by our Christmas lunch. In the evening our school choir sang Carols and Christmas songs in the church before everyone returned to school to meet Santa (courtesy of Salcombe Rotary Club), and have hot chocolate and mince pies.

Our Christmas celebrations ended with our Christingle Service.  The children brought oranges to school with which to make their Christingles in readiness for the service in the afternoon.

What a lovely and truly festive way to finish the term.
