Remembrance Day Service

The children have been busy preparing our Remembrance Day display for the Church this week.

This morning we were joined by members of the village community for our Remembrance Day Service in Church.  Reverend Christian greeted everyone and opened the service with a prayer.  The children in Class 4 read out the poem 'Flanders Field' and Classes 3 and 2 read out the poems and prayers they had written.  During the two minutes silence poppy petals gently cascaded to the floor after which Mrs Stallard read an extra from 'For the fallen' by Lawrence Binyon.
